One of the core values of the New Prospect Theatre is theatrical accessibility. We have been fortunate to provide our 50/50 program to young artists and developing theatre companies across Whatcom County. This program allows companies and artists to book our space for performances and productions at a reduced rate, with no money upfront and no guarantee. At the end of the production NPT takes home 50% of the ticket sales and the artists take home 50%. It has been a joy to be the home of such an uplifting program and we need your help to keep it going! This year due to rising costs we have had to limit the number of 50/50 productions on our calendar and without support this program is in danger of ending. We are looking to raise $15,000 to maintain and grow our 50/50 program. With your support we plan to continue offering the 50/50 rate, while also opening up season opportunities where we provide not only space, but the production rights. We hope this expansion will allow low-income and early-career directors and producers to get their start.

As Little Lemon Productions closes out on a fantastic season filled with new programs, many new faces, and even more new audiences, we want to thank you for making all of this possible. It is uncommon for young adults to be given the platform and opportunities we receive, and we do not take your trust lightly. We have continued to grow over the past few years, and this year we introduced our New York City Big Apple Branch. We also had the honor of providing three people their first on-stage musical theatre experience. We were fortunate to have Cascadia Daily feature an article detailing our groundbreaking production of In The Heights. This year couldn’t have been possible without the hard work of every single person who worked on a production; together, we made a dream come true. Additionally, this growth wouldn’t be possible without the financial support from our communities.

Looking toward to 2027 we intend to achieve just as many firsts as we did this year and we are looking for your support to make that possible. This year we had 81 cast members, employed 13 creative team members and designers, and performed for roughly 900 audience members. We hope to see those numbers grow even more next season.

Looking forward to the next season, we have many plans in place and are beginning the funding stage to make them possible. With your help, we hope to provide even more experiences to artists and audiences that break the mold of what we have been taught to believe theatre has to be. We plan to expand our programming to include more classes, seminars, and theatrical information events to help young artists grow their skills. We plan to offer more productions in both Whatcom County and New York City with a total of five musicals currently scheduled and more in conversation. Those who donate and would like their names shared will now be added to a Donors page on our website, and donations above $250 will receive season passes to any and all Little Lemon programming for the 2027 season.
